Note:
1.)
This menu shows step by step how the graph is created.
2.)
Before doing this part, it is recommended to do first the
Monthly Summary View 1, which it is under the
Totals and Summary menu.

Click on the Prepare FoxPro File
with Data for Graph command
button
to continue.

Click on the Exit command button.
Menu Prepare Data For Graph and Create Excel
File: GRAPH_DATA.xls.

Screen that shows the data for the Visual FoxPro File OUTPUT_TOT.dbf.
View: V_output_chg

Do a click as shown
above to close the screen.
Click on the Yes command button to create a new
file.

Screen that shows the data for the Microsoft Excel file GRAPH_DAT1.xls

Note: The file does not contain the fields for the months not used.
Do a click on the Yes command button to create a new
file.

To edit the form caption, enter the
year YY in the text box and
click
on the Cap (Caption) command button.
Double click on the
graph plot area to edit Microsoft Graph.

Select Edit from the menu bar.

Select Import File
from the menu.

Select the Excel file C:\pfinance\data\GRAPH_DATA.xls

Click on the Open command button.

Click on the OK command button.
Close the Excel window
by doing a click as shown below.


Click on the bottom of
the form.
To close the form, do
a click as shown below.

Note:
Select Graph #1 from the menu to create a Line
type graph,
but
using the GRAPH_2DAT.xls file to import the data for the
graph instead of
GRAPH_DAT.xls.
Menu Graph #2
(Column Type Graph)


Enter the year and
title of the graph in the textbox and
click
on the Form Caption command button.
Double click on the
graph plot area to edit Microsoft Graph.

Select Edit from the menϊ bar.

Select
Import File from the menu.

Select the Excel file C:\pfinance\data\GRAPH_2DAT.xls

Click on the Open command button.

Click on the OK command button.
See note on page 105 to Edit
and Copy, if it is desired.
Close the Excel window
by doing a click as shown below.


Click on the bottom of
the form.
To close the form, do
a click as shown below.

Click on the Note
command button.


Procedure to copy the
data from the graph:
1.) During the Import File process, when the
Datasheet is active, select
the rows with the mouse, then click on Edit and Copy.
See pages 103, 106.
Before doing
EDIT / COPY, it may be necessary to enlarge the screen
and the Excel window. Click on the Note push button
to see updated note.
Procedure to import the data from the
graph to Microsoft Excel:
1.)
Start
Excel
2.)
Place
the cursor on the desired location.
3.)
Select
Edit from the menu bar, then Paste.

note on page 105.)


Procedure to add
totals in rows and columns:
1.) Place the cursor on the desired location.
2.) Select Formulas from the menu bar and Auto
Sum.
3.) Select the option Sum.
Procedure to create a
graph with six series:
Before doing Edit / Import File, see page 102, create and save an
Excel file with
the data for the graph with six series, see example below.
Then use this
file for Import File.

Procedure to copy the
entire chart from the graph to Microsoft Excel:
1.) When the Datasheet is active, see page 101, select the chart
by doing a click on the Chart Area, instead of the
Datasheet.
2.) Select Edit from the menu bar and Copy
Chart.
3.) Start Excel and do Edit / Paste.
